In the Psalm today we hear the words – ‘Cry out with joy to God all the earth.’ We acclaim the Lord for all his goodness to all peoples of every denomination and to the various deeds created by His hand.
In today’s First Reading the Apostles embraced the Samaritans in their teaching about Jesus, so we too should reach out to others regardless of creed or religion and our lives should reflect the love that we have for each and everyone that we meet in our day to day lives. It is not easy to welcome everyone into our hearts. We often hear ourselves being criticized and bad mouthed by others. However, in the words of Jesus in today’s Gospel; if we love as He loves and keep His commandments, He will be with us in every situation in our lives and will never leave us. By doing His will we share His life and the life of the Father and He promises to help us remain faithful to Him by giving us His Holy Spirit to guide us along our journey of life.
